Terms of Service

These terms set out how Rider Assist delivers asset recovery, breakdown assistance and on-site support. Please read them carefully before using our services.

1. Services

Rider Assist provides:

  • Asset recovery services
  • Breakdown assistance
  • Tracker-based location response
  • On-site attendance and support

All services are provided on a reasonable endeavours basis, not a guaranteed outcome.

2. Service Availability

  • Services are offered subject to availability and location
  • Response times are estimates and not guaranteed
  • We operate primarily within London and surrounding areas, unless agreed otherwise

3. Client Responsibilities

By using our services, you confirm that:

  • You are the legal owner of the asset, or authorised to act on behalf of the owner
  • All information provided (including tracker data and location) is accurate
  • You have the legal right to request recovery or intervention

We reserve the right to refuse service where ownership or authority cannot be verified.

4. Recovery & Access

  • Rider Assist does not forcibly enter private property without proper authority
  • Where required, recovery may involve coordination with law enforcement
  • We will only act within UK law and legal boundaries at all times

5. Use of Tracking Data

  • Any GPS or tracker data must be provided by the client or authorised third party
  • We do not install or supply tracking devices unless agreed separately
  • We act based on data provided and are not responsible for inaccuracies

6. Fees & Payment

  • Services may be charged per job, hourly, or as agreed in advance
  • All fees will be confirmed prior to engagement where possible
  • Payment terms: [Insert Payment Terms – e.g. immediate, 7 days, etc.]

Failure to pay may result in refusal of future services.

7. Cancellations

  • If a job is cancelled after dispatch, a call-out fee may apply
  • If attendance has already occurred, full or partial charges may be applied

8. Limitation of Liability

  • Rider Assist provides services on a best-effort basis
  • We do not guarantee recovery of any asset
  • We are not liable for:
  • Loss or damage prior to our involvement
  • Inaccurate tracking data
  • Delays outside our control
  • Actions of third parties

Our liability is limited to the value of the service fee paid, unless otherwise required by law.

9. Insurance

  • Rider Assist maintains appropriate business insurance, including public liability
  • Clients are responsible for ensuring their own assets are insured

10. Health & Safety

  • All operations are conducted with safety as a priority
  • We reserve the right to withdraw from any situation deemed unsafe

11. Subcontractors

  • Rider Assist may use trusted subcontractors to deliver services
  • All subcontractors operate under our standards and instructions

12. Data Protection

  • We handle all personal and operational data in accordance with UK GDPR

13. Force Majeure

We are not liable for failure or delay in performance due to events beyond our control, including but not limited to:

  • Severe weather
  • Road closures
  • Civil unrest
  • Mechanical failure
  • Acts of third parties

14. Termination of Service

We reserve the right to refuse or terminate services if:

  • False or misleading information is provided
  • The request is unlawful
  • There is risk to safety

15. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
